At 19 o’clock GMT, 11 November, (or 2:00 morning 12 November, Hanoi Time), the website of New7Wonders organization had posted the provisional result of the New 7 Wonders of Nature voting, based on the first count of votes.

According to Dinh Vu industrial zone JSC, in September this year, the company will put into operation a centralized waste water treatment plant with total capacity of 9600 cubic meters per day. In the first phase, the plant capacity is 2500 cubic meters per day.

Morning 07 October 2011, Chairman of Hai Phong People’s Committee, Mr. Duong Anh Dien, has received Mr. Shigetaka Sato, Chairman of OSAKA Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a number of accompanying Japanese businessmen during their visit to industrial zones and seaports of Hai Phong to explore investment opportunities.

A new cave which is considered to be the most beautiful cave of Ha Long Bay and Cat Ba Islands area has been discovered earlier this month in Viet Hai commune, Cat Hai district (Haiphong).

Cat Ba - a World Biosphere Reserve – a National Park. The titles as well as the exotic wild life of good preservation and exploitation make its distinguished attraction to tourists. Haiphong city and Cat Hai district have determined a sustainable development strategy of Cat Ba tourism by enhancing the management and conservation of natural values in a bid to make Cat Ba be a world natural heritage and a global geo-park.

To introduce popularly the World Biosphere Reserve Cat Ba Island to domestic and international tourists, Cat Hai People’s Committee decides to organize 52-year anniversary of the day Uncle Ho visited Cat Hai fishing commune (31/March/1959 – 31/March/2011), anniversary of Fishery traditional day (1/April/1959 – 1/April/2011) and start Cat Ba tourism season of 2011.

Legend has it that Cat Ba Island used to be the rear of ladies supporting foods for soldiers in near island against the Chinese dependency, It is the reason why it is named Cac Ba island, after years  It is  modified to present name “ Cat Ba” island.

Cat Ba Island - The town of Cat Hai which has more than 300 islands belonging to Ha Long Bay - a World Natural Heritage and many  of  which are beautiful caves, spectacular beaches.

Previously, if the guests want to go to Cat Ba Island, they used to be afraid of transportation. It was too complex, the visitors had to take many trips by road and waterway. They also had to be at the right time  in the right place (just 3 to 4 trips/a day). It was not easy to come to this beautiful  island.

The boat left Ha Long Bay for Lan Ha bay to Cat Ba Island. After several hours of making friends and visiting scenery together, passengers were likely to be more friendly and closely. The Italian friend boasted of using up two film reels.
